ReLoop

An instant replay button for your screen — record in a loop, rewind anytime, search what you saw and said

Loop Recording

Set a loop duration (e.g. 30 minutes). ReLoop keeps recording your screen and automatically discards older content, so disk usage stays small and under control.

Instant Replay

Zoned out during a demo? Missed a number in a meeting? Open the replay window and rewind to what just happened.

Visual Search

On-screen text is indexed with on-device OCR. Search by the words you saw and jump straight to that moment.

Voice Search

Optionally enable microphone transcription (on-device speech recognition) and search the replay by what you said.

Private by Design

Recording, transcription and indexing happen 100% on your Mac. No uploads, no account, no cloud, no analytics.

Lightweight

Sits quietly in the menu bar, captures efficiently with ScreenCaptureKit, with optional Dock icon and launch at login.

# Download

Search ReLoop on the App Store, or open the App Store link (opens new window). ReLoop uses the on-device AI capabilities of macOS 26 (OCR and speech transcription), so it requires macOS Tahoe (>= 26.0).

# Why ReLoop

Inspired by Rewind-like tools: by the time you notice something on screen, it's often already gone. ReLoop does one small thing — it keeps "the last stretch of time" of your screen in a loop buffer:

  • you can rewind it like a recording;
  • you can search it like a document (on-screen text + what you said);
  • and all of it stays on your Mac.

# Privacy

ReLoop collects no data. Recordings are kept only within the time window you set and are deleted automatically when they expire. See the privacy policy (opens new window) for details.

# FAQ

Why does it need screen recording permission? Loop-recording your own screen is ReLoop's core feature. On first launch, grant permission in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording.

Will it fill up my disk? No. ReLoop only keeps recordings within the loop duration (e.g. 30 minutes). Older segments are deleted automatically, and you can shrink the duration at any time.

Is the microphone required? No. Microphone transcription is off by default, and permission is only requested after you explicitly enable it in Settings.
